Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937), American horror writer & thinker.
On this website special attention is given to HPL's thinking and philosophy.
A field which holds my particular interest is his epistemology, a discipline somewhat overlooked in Lovecraft studies. Existentialism and aesthetics are close behind.
HPL's letters and essays reveal the genuine, philosophical foundation of his stories. He had an intelligent and reasoned view on many fundamental philosophcal disciplines. Agree with him or not, there are always fascinating and, generally, well-argued points from a sharp, always curious mind.
